Smile My TA 335's, Plasti-Dipped and Lowered

Plasti-Dipped the hood, lip and license plate cover. Not 100% sure on how I like it all yet but wanted to see regardless. Just put 335/30/18's on rear with 295/35/18's up front. Have Hotchkis rear lowering springs with GC coilovers/Koni up front. Still need to adjust the panhard bar, roll the fenders and repaint the faded CETA as well from previous owner. Pretty satisfied as far as the way it turned out, definitely something different. Here is a video of the car idling when I first picked it up from the previous owner.

Not feeling it. It takes the silver/black theme too far. Maybe you should have done the sail panel and mirrors instead? That may look ok...

Looks awesome man good job but the rear tint needs redone for sure.
You will be amazed at how well those 335's wear evenly on these rims even when bulged out.

After I rolled the fenders, got an on car adjustable PHB my rears do not rub anymore and I am pretty low.

^- x2 The Front back to silver would look really good with that hood.

The rest, nice car. Wheels look good on there too.

Definitely testing the waters with this Plasti-Dip Gives you the opportunity to see things instead of a Photoshop. Rear tint is a must!

I think it looks mean, maybe do the headlight doors black as well.

The plate filler is about the same size as the headlight doors, I think it would tie the front together.

That is my favorite hood for those cars. Not feeling the license plate cover or lip.

For sure. Ive plasti dipped alot of stuff. Agree much cheaper and easier to do then photoshop or actually just painting it.

Its not that bad, just to me a tad too much black. Maybe its the plate thats throwing it off for me.

Did you buy the car kit for the hood or just cans? Seems like cans from some of the pics.

Im not digging the license plate frame but if you painted the sideskirts to match the front lip and maybe part of the side of the rear bumper, it tie in a little more.

Red face

I've plasti-dipped some hand tools before.

Not for me mate... just looks like panels yet to see a paint booth.

Your care though, and she's a beaut for sure.

License plate is black but I taped the bird off so its still clear, just haven't pulled the tape. Was thinking of the lighted bird but wanted to see how all black looks.

Im actually liking it alot. Except for the plate cover. If that was silver your car would be perfect! Nice job.

The hood just looks unpainted to me, maybe a thick black stripe would look alot better, or follow the lines on the hood, some good things but most i dont think are good ideas, again its imo, its your car

Yeah matte black looks decent on some cars but in this case it's just disrupting the flow with your car. It's probably because of the odd shape of the TA's hood.

Id make it all silver with a black bird on the plate cover. It just looks like you took some parts off of a black car and never had them painted imo. The car looks good tho otherwise.

I can tell you did not dip your front spoiler since I know how they look unpainted, just curious, did you mount it w/the tape and screws or some other method? I just installed mine this weekend w/screws only in case I wanted to take it off. To me the only thing that really stands out is the bird plate, make that silver and I think your theme is pretty cool and all that matters is that YOU like it, unless someone else pays...kudos on the effort. And of course, the rear re-tint is a given.
