Default i believe shes consuming more than normal amounts of oil

the car- 2000 ls1, stock ls1 pcv system..... cammed, dual springs, ls6 intake

so right after the cam swap, i noticed that the car is getting rid of oil...i use pennzoil 5w 30 ultra

right before i left for ocmd, i filled it up just barely higher than the "safe" zone on the stick. drove the 150 miles down, cruised for a little, inched in traffic for about 2 hrs on DE 1, and drove the other 150 miles back.....now, its a hair below the safe zone on the stick.....the car sits for 3-4 days at a time, and there has been no oil on my driveway at all. howeever, did notice on the driveres side near the rear of the valvecover, it is wet from about half the valve cover back, and there are little tiny dots of oil on the wires......is this above normal amounts of oil consumption?

If you are finding oil on your engine I don't think that's considered consumption. That's a leak lol. Pull your plugs and see if they have oil on them. Is all you did was a cam swap? Nothing else? What all did you change

I bet your valve cover gaskets, or the grommets for the bolts, are shot. I had the same issue. Made a MESS on the heads and valley.

What. Did. You. Replace. Disconnect. Remove. Fix. A normal cam swap shouldn't cause you to lose oil unless you messed up somewhere

Unless the bottom end or heads were removed I can't imagine anythings besides a leak in the valve train or on a gasket that you'd be losing oil.
