Flash GMPP ECU and load friends VIN...Will his HP Tuners work?
So I have the LS376/480 controller. I've heard some people flashed them and loaded a VIN with Tech2 before tuning.
So my dad is a technician and so I have access to the Tech2. If I load a friends VIN who already has a good tune for my setup from his 2011 Camaro will his HP Tuners load it to my ecu with matching VIN?

Probly not. hp tuners dosent just go off the vin. Pcm also has a os id and serial number if im not mistaken also oe file probly need to be same. Otherwise people would be doing this all the time.you would probly have to duplicate the pcm. But why not just pay your friend for the two credits if he has the software?

I have never tried flashing one with HPT but have flashed one with EFI Live. I thought I remember reading you couldnt with HPT but I could easily be wrong. There were some thing you had to do extra to flash it, it wasnt like a normal ecm. Once it was setup then it would flash normally.

Basicly you would use the two credits on your pcm to license it then transfer all the tables by copying and pasting. I thought you put a cam in that motor? Btw this is juicedlq4 from the nation. are the mods to both motors identical? Cause certin variations can impact runability decently
