Default Help with injector connector

I'm working on my 99 5.3 silverado and can't seem to get the connectors off the injectors. here are the pics first one is before i pull up on the gray clip and the second is after I've pulled up on it and push the black tab. I'm i not pulling the gray one up far enough? Thanks

You should just squeeze the black tab and pull. Sometimes those truck clips are a bear. Push the whole clip in to take off any pressure, squeeze, and pull it out. It might just take some good effort.

Thanks for the reply. I thought I was doing it right with the retainer, it being a bear ain't telling half of it. I'm just down to the connectors of pulling this intake. Thanks again!

I finally got them. Once I got one off and saw what was going on, I ended up using a curved pic under the connector to help release the clip on the injector.
