Default This lid? That lid?

I am looking for a lid, preferably a TSP. I've heard good things about the MTI and SLP lids too. I know everyone says "A lid is a lid is a lid" so... now i'm just looking into one of the three above lids at a decent price. $115 for a TSP sounds pretty crappy but thats how much it is at the texas-speed website. I really don't want to spend more than 80 bucks on a lid so... if anyone knows some websites that have one of these lids for around that price please post the website up for me. Thanks alot!

I say buy the best priced one you can find. If you want specific details on each one and how they compare, get the current issue of GM Hi-tech Performance. They did a full write up on the dyno and at the track testing all of them.

I have a Direct Flo lid and I paid $75. Look at GM High Tech Performance, as stated above by 01Blufrmla. The lid netted great gains.

Check the for sale section here. People sell lids a lot if they
are going back to stock for trade-ins and such.

Spend an extra $30 and get the SLP shipped.
Great fit, great looks.
Had an MTI carbon fiber look and it cracked on me.

FWIW, I ran the best time in my car with the STOCK lid and filter, and the "crappy" Eagle F1's! (13.179@106.79)

I had a clear TSP lid on my car. I sold it because i'm selling the car. I'm going to go with another TSP lid when I get another car though. If you want the cheapest, QMP has the best price http://www.quartermileperformance.com

I have the QMP lid, formerly known as LS1 Motorsports. I agree with DMNSPD, best price, great fit.

I got my SLP for $75. I like it better than the rest because it seems like the material and finish is better IMO.

The GMHT issue says it all though.

Thanks for those who responded. An old friend of mine is gonna sell me his TSP lid for $85. He claims he's making his own lid and won't need it anymore. Yes!! Finally a lid, it should have probably been my first mod (according to other threads). LOL

You will like the TSP lid, good fit, tight and noticable improvement. I love mine. IMO they are all basically the same, TSP has a great rep and makes a great product. Enjoy it!
