Its been busy but here's another small job....

This detail is a 2011 Audi A4 in black, low miles ~10k and never scene an ounce of wax since purchased, Sorry Dave!

We only had roughly 6hrs total to execute an exterior correction and after 12man hours the outcome is a 8.5/10, We only had time for a wash, clay, single pass, seal and wax, so there is certainly some defects left on the table given more time we would have chased out. BUT, the outcome was steller for a single pass on this ultra hard Audi paint!

As we were pressed for time we only got a few shots before and after but enough to give everyone the idea regarding the paints defects and results from correction.

Enough of that on to the detail, Oh and I hope you enjoy!!!

Anyways for only having a limited time frame to do one real corrective pass it came out decent, it needed a 2nd pass to hit that 95% mark and this paint is tough as nails.

Still doing good work! I miss detailing, I hurt my back last year and couldn't do anything for a while and never got back into it.

I find myself using the rolly chair as much as possible and as soon as I feel anything I put my little back brace on. I do whatever I can to ease work on the back, its not what it used to be.

Once you hurt your back it never seems to fully heal. Ill have to check out a back brace. My dad is disabled and I am also picking him up, adjusting him or whatever and it just kills my back. I should really get back into it, it would be good considering I am usually home everyday with him.

car looks great! quick question:

the areas that are taped off, do you do those areas by hand after the areas that aren't taped off?

We tape off anything that is plastic/rubber/trim pieces, basically anything non painted. If the compound makes its way to the weather stripping or rubber/plastic it will basically never come off and turn it white.
This car was pretty minimal taping. Just some window trim and the lower valance which was basically plastic.

The goal of the tape in this case is to prevent you from going on/past that location with the machine.

Yeah I'm not one that typically likes a beer that is complimented by fruit. :)

I'm a stout and porter kind of guy. but I'll drink nearly anything, But those Belgian Wheat style beers are my least favorite (Wasn't my blue moon).
