Pontiac Firebird 1967-2002 - 95 firehawk

I found a 95 Firehawk for sale in my area and wanted to know what you guys think of it. From what I can see in the pictures the body is in great condition and seems near mint. The problem is it has 240k miles but I plan on rebuilding it anyway. The owner says it runs now and only wants 2k for it. I'd like to hear what you guys have to say. Thanks

Seems MINT and in great condition with 240,000 miles????
Give us a real description please and then maybe we can 'guesstimate'.
Either way, $2,000 certainly isn't much of a gamble by any stretch unless the car is ready for the scrap heap.

don't do anything without verifying it's a real firehawk. if it's "mint" the rpo code sticker should be very clear to read. look for ( R6V) and call SLP with the vin number or send it to me and i'll find out for you. 240k miles isn't mint. post up pictures. under the hood, wheels, center console, hood...

Not a bad price for a true Firehawk but with that milage it's going to need some work.

The hood/airbox are worth $1k or so alone in good condition.

It will have a serial number by the console indicating what # it is. Should have a Firehawk hood with decals on the side indicating the hp either 300 or 315. Pop the hood and the Firehawk ram air box should be there. Will have speedline style wheels too. My brother has '95 #11. That is the best year for an LT1 car. You get the vented opti along with OBDI diagnostics. Only year for that.

I have a 95 hawk as well (with 189,000 miles on it- I put most of them on it). 2k is not much at all forbthe car and would make for a nice LS swap.
You can buy the console ID plates on eBay for very little- verify the # built and make sure that the car # falls in sequence. Example if they only made 500 and they are trying to sell you #631 you have an issue.
As others have said- call SLP. It only takes a minute and will be 100% accurate.
I have seen complete air box assemblies pull over $500 on eBay
