I have a guy who wants more power in his stk ls7 in a jet boat. The motor only has 15 hrs on it so he would rather not tear it down to make a bunch of changes. So right now it's apparantly around 530hp and he would be happy with around 650@5500 max. I figured a pro charger or Vortech would do it with 4-5 lbs boost through a water/air intercooler. The guy has unlimited access to 100ll av gas so that is what he would run.

Think I am asking for trouble and should be at lleast changing out the pistons or it should work?

Good luck getting 4-5lbs of boost. That would be a tire for a pulley. He will be fine with 10-12lbs of boost of one.

Procharger offers a 4.5 lb kit. http://www.procharger.com/C6_LS7.shtml

A 3.8" pulley on a Si-trim gave me 5.8psi and made 705rwhp.

That would be perfect. Think the motor is strong enough to handle it cast over 11:to 1 and all.?

Just keep a good tune on it. With 100 octane it shouldn't be an issue.

We have ran 15psi on our 07 Z06 shop car for nearly 3 years. It eats a steady diet of 100oct unleaded. Its went a best of 9.29@147mph with our auto conversion. I think 4-5psi would last quite a while for him.

We had a customer with a 4.5psi procharger kit on his and it made 600rwhp I think? He has ran it for 3-4yrs now with no issues. Pump 91 or higher for him.
