Default how many exhaust bolts does each manifold need?

How many exhaust manifold bolts are on each side of the exhaust manifold? How many bolts does the left exhaust manifold need and how many bolts does the right exhaust manifold need? I am replacing all exhaust manifold bolts so I need to know.

Sometimes I wonder if you guys work on your own cars.

There are SIX bolts per side, so 12 bolts total.

I wish I could afford to pay someone to work on it.

It sure feels like 16 bolts

EDIT: aw man he changed it.

I can't tell from the pics, but the threads should be 3/8"x16. Any SBC header bolt would work.

Yeah but dude if you can't figure out how many bolts hold the manifold on the motor you probably shouldn't post then. Not saying you don't know anything but if you don't know the answer to something, don't post up false information. I don't claim to know everything and I try my best to give accurate info if I can and gladly accept when i'm wrong on somethings.

Ok so Ive checked and the bolts on the driver side exhaust manifold and two bolts are broken =(! The one on the front is broken and the one towards the end is broken. I have to take the head out don't I in order to reach and drill out the one all the way in the back?

Quick Reply: how many exhaust bolts does each manifold need?
