Default 17" WS6 Wheels

I am building the car in my signature and already have some Weld Prostars in 15x4 for the Front and a set of 15x8 and 15x10 for the rear that are backspaced for a 3" per side Narrowed Rear Axle. The problem is, I had to cancel the plans for the narrowed axle for the time being.

I have a chance to buy some stock WS6 rims in I think 17'x9" size front and rear to use in the mean time. What tires would you recommend for a mostly fun strip car that is going to only have 300-350HP NA and maybe upto 450 on the bottle?

285/40/17 for rears.
The perfect drag radial would be 295/45/17

All stock rims for a WS6 were 9in, even the speedlines on the 01 and 02's.

To the OP, 275/40/17 is what you want, that will be enough for what you want to do.

I have a set of BFG 275/40/17 drag radials for sale in the parts classifieds if you are interested in tires.

My buddy's car is running about 400rwhp and we've had great luck on his car with 275 nitto 555R's.

No wheel hop, no tire spin. Should be perfect for a mildly modded car like yours.
