Default Blowby Causing Pinging?

So my new motor, see sig for mods has about 3500 miles on it. It has blowby caused by running rich upon the rebuild. It drinks a quart probably every 500 miles, oil turns black also at this time. Now it has been upper 90's lately here and this is the first time I heard the pinging.

Now today it is 85 and it is still doing it, pretty much all the time. Coolant temperature ranges from 175 to 220 per my aeroforce gauge. It will ping even as low as 180 deg.

Any ideas? Is the blowby causing this?

Oil in the cylinders will cause detonation. A quart in 500 miles is pretty excessive

Did it start after a noticeable event? How long after the rebuild?

Id say it does, sounds like you have bad rings or valve seals

It all started last week when it was 90's. Coolant temp went up to 220 to 230 on my aeroforce gauge. Once it was cooled down it went away. Now it does it almost all the time.

If its audible that's not good. Can you hear it or is it just showing kr on the scanner?

Knock sensors should be cutting the timing way back. How much kr are you seeing while it's audible?

I believe it was like 3 to 5, but I always let off once I heard the noise. When I check the codes in my aeroforce, I came up with a code for knock sensor, actually this code has been in there since I rebuilt the motor. I put new sensors and harness and its still there. No CEL, passe inspection also.

Maybe the tune needs adjustment?

I would think if you have a knock code you should be checking that ASAP. The sensors should be pulling more than 3-5 under that kind of condition
