Default Thermostat interchanability

Does anyone know if Stant makes a 180 or slightly less thermostat for the LS1? iIseen one on EBAY PN -14698 but its sounds sketchy if its a fit.

You can get 160DegF stat for an LS1. The stat is integral to the housing. They arent overly cheap though.

The integral housing one? You can disassemble it and stack a few shims under the shaft. IIRC, I used two 3/16" pop rivet washers and ended up at 170°...

This thread will help. He used pieces of rod inside the hole, I used shims (small washers) over the rod. Just a different method of accomplishing the same thing...
