Default Need some advice - 6.0 and twins..

Hey all - I've been trolling these forums for awhile and finally thinking of starting my build. It will be a stock LQ4 with twins. I have a friend that sold me two on3 performance 76mm's for dirt cheap...

The question is how will these do on a 6.0? they have a 65mm exhaust side so I figured spool time shouldn't be extremely awful due to the small exhaust turbine.. i'll be running a t56 with a 3.42 gear if that helps any

You will have more power than you know what to do with using that T56. IMO they're too big for a 6.0 but that's just my opinion. I think 6262 sized turbos would be a better fit, or even twin T70s. I mean it will work... and it will scream, but lag is going to be an issue.

Twin 61's will make more power than a stock head will hold and aren't too expensive.
-they are good for 1300 to 1400 fwhp-
A 62-65mm turbine is what you'll want with a 61-67 compressor.

This. No point running twins when a big single is all you need.

I'd rather go single but I dont know of a way to keep A/C and heat in a c6 with a single. I guess ill sell off these and try to get some smaller twins... If anyone has a suggestion on how to fit a single let me know haha

Well, that's if you don't care about lag/response.

A 60-62mm compressor and a 65-67mm turbine would be perfect. All the boost will be in by 35-3800rpm.

If he's looking to drag race then that's not a huge deal when you can spool it up on the line. I know a ton of guys that were running twins then went to a single and picked up huge ET by running just a single big turbo.

It's fine at the dragstrip sure, I didn't realize the op was just building a race car that was not going to be driven on the street.

As for your second statement, if you are trying to imply that a single is more capable than twins you would be incorrect. Show me any single turbo and I'll show you twins that can match the power and have faster response.

People are stuck on singles because they have no experience with twin's.

The fastest street car in the world is running a twin turbo setup.

single is more efficient and doesn't usually cost as much. the more complexity to a system, the more that can go wrong. most guys don't really take that into account until something breaks.

Depending on your power level i would think one 76 would be fine. Seems like that turbine might be a little small though. twin 76's seem like they'd be pretty sluggish, although you do have smaller turbine wheels. think 35r's run a 64mm turbine, so it might not be too bad.

Not sure about fastest street cars running twins, but ok....
