Default What bulbs to get white fogs?

I have HIDs but they are killer blinding. I'm looking for a bulb that looks white but is a regular halogen bulb. Silverstar?

LED 6000k bulbs if you only want them to match and don't need the fogs for any real light since you have HIDs...

Looking for the color equivalent of 4300k or 5000k HIDs. Don't care if they aren't bright as I'm going to have HID projectors in my headlights, 2 in each headlight...but that's an upcoming project . I just need them to last long like halogens do.

I ordered some white LED bulbs. We'll see how that goes I guess. I'll snap some pictures when they're in.

You're not gonna have much light output with LED's, just so you know. You'll probably get the color you're looking for, but they won't put out much lumens compared to a regular halogen. At least I don't think they've made one powerful enough yet.

I don't mind that. I just wanted a white bulb that doesn't blind people. More for show only.

I got the LED bulbs, and they were junk even from an ebay US seller. One would just flicker. Plus, when the fogs are on with the LEDs, the "high beam indicator light" in the cluster lights up dimly. They also looked bad because my fogs are very chipped up, and the dim LEDs just showed that.

Needless to say, I'm just going to put some stock bulbs in or go back to HIDs.

I love how generically people throw the terms HIDs and LEDs around. How about a link or a picture for the exact LEDs you got that didn't work? Some work great and others don't work at all; there is more than one type of HID and LED system. For example, have you ever seen these?

None of the current drop-in LED replacements will work as well as the stock size Halogen bulb.

They don't properly use the stock reflector. True, there are some brighter than others, but none will retrain the same bright spread as the stock bulb.

Typically, for marker and brake lights, it will be close enough. That is not so for forward lighting (headlights & fog lights). None of the current drop-in LED replacements will work as well as the stock size Halogen bulb in the stock reflectors or projectors.

Hey, dude: If you haven't done so already, you may consider simply aiming your HID foglights down lower. Each one has an adustment screw, and you can aim them low enough that the light literally projects on the ground a few feet from the front of the car, if you want to go extreme.

The various blue tinted bulbs don't last very long. At least if they are Silverstars.
