Default Narrowed Rearend/wheel question

I have a MWC 9" on order. Narrowed 3" per side. Does this look like the right wheel to order? Thanks

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/WLD-71MB-510B45A/

Also...I don't like the way the 275 is on a 10" rim. I like the tire to bulge a little. So I was thinking 295/55/15.
With a 6 speed should I get the ET Street (28x11.50x15) ? Or Just do the ET drag radial 295/55/15.

i had my rear narrowed 3" per side and had my 11" wide wheels made with a 4.75" BS, if that helps.

9" rear end narrowed 3" per side with 15"x10.275" Weld RTS's with 5.5" (yes, 5.5") of backspacing wrapped in M/T 295/55/15 ET Street Drag Radials. It's my opinion that 4.5" of backspacing makes the wheel stick out from the fender too far and looks funny. I'm well aware that as a rule of thumb everybody buys 15"x10" with 7.5" backspacing for a stock length rear to put the tire in the "stock location" and that if you subtract 3" (the amount the rear is narrowed on one side) from 7.5" you get 4.5" of backspacing for a rear narrowed 3" per side but I prefer to have the tire "tucked" under the fender.

My car.

My buddy's car with a Dana S60 narrowed 3" per side (exact same wheels and tires).

The Trans Am is lowered with BMR lowering springs AND the heater hose mod. The Camaro is lowered with just the heater hose mod on stock springs. Neither car has mini-tubs. Both have had the bump stops cut out and some "massaging" of the inner fender with a hammer (mostly in the front).

this should tell you how much the wheel sits in with a 295 RTS with a 5.5" BS on a TA. TAs have wider 1/4 panels than camaros. If you go 4.5" BS on these cars with 3" narrowed on each axle, you will have a wheel that sticks out. If you like your car lowered like me, it will look terrible and now drive well over bumps.

Sure the 4.5" BS deal works and is equivalent to the 7.5BS on a stock width rear, but who wants tires that are flush with the 1/4 or stick out slightly?

I think I'm going to run some 15 x 8 or 9 rims. What back spacing would you recommend to get the same overall width of your set up? I like how your wheels are tucked in. As of right now, I have the stock width rear axle.
