Thanks guy's. Trying to build something fun to bring to cruise nights and track a bit.
Some specs

TEA/TFS 235cc 6 bolt heads. Inconel exhaust valves, upgraded springs
Mid 230's Cam
Super Victor intake with Aaron elbow, 90mm TB
127lb at 45psi injectors from Injector Connection
Fully built T400, reverse valve body, trans brake ect from RPM transmission
3400 stall from Yank
FAB 9" with spool, 3.00 gears from Midwest Chassis, also Strange brakes all around

Hoping to have it running in about a month. Breaking it in on 15lb springs, hoping for 900-1000rwhp on this boost.

Other then the yank converter it looks great! Theres so many better options out there why put one of those pos converters in there? If its because you have it or something I get that... But to buy one new.... No way. I think it will make more then 1000 too, if you want it to.

i love yank converters. Mine works great! It is a great street/strip converter. For a high HP drag car there are definetly better options though. But i don't think this particular car is an all out drag car.

I wouldn't use one for anything, there's too many other options that are tons better. You'd benefit from something else too I guarantee it.

Lets not make this a JL knowledge thread.
I'll use the Yank and have in many other cars, worked great for this power. We all know there are other converters out there.

I'm kinda glad you went with some streetability. It will have a broader appeal.
At first I was thinking you were going for a race car, 25.3, glide, bigger turbo, etc...
I think its gonna be sick.
Although maybe a few inches off that rear and a mini-tub would still be sweet. :)
Love it Don, keep up the good work. At the end of the day its still a car you can drive on the street and could be stretched to tap an 8 at the track.
As far as the converter goes in a TH400 you have a lot of options, but give it a shot, its a little tougher finding the right converter in a big boost car.

Well, it's the same converter as LS1 curts. Awesome drivability for the street and they are already at low 9's with alot heavier car and a lower hp I plan on pushing.
So, we'll see. It's pretty well known the first converter is just for testing.

Wow! I saw this car when I brought mine for a dyno tune and it was pretty much an empty shell at that point. Progress looks good. She'll make some good power!

No problems with my yank either 500+ miles a week as my daily driver , drives like a stock car , and still can drive 200 miles round trip to NED and run 9's with out doing nothing but putting my door bar in .I think I'll keep it ;)

i dn if your talking to me or not in this post but even if i wanted a different converter i couldn't afford one of the higher end makes anyways. I love my Yank. One of my best mods so far if not the best mod.

I myself and a buddy also have the same 3400 Yank in our turbo cars. They work great not to Mention that mighty mouse had the 4l80 version of the same Yank 3400 converter in his turbo car. That worked pretty well for him down to 8.40
