My car is an 87 Turbo T. It went 9.7 with the 6 and a 67mm turbo. I got bored so decided I wanted something different. I like the car too much to get rid of it, so an engine change was the route I went. I've been disowned by the Buick people.
5.3
Home ported 241 heads
ls1 cam
regapped top rings
arp rod bolts
Ls9 springs and head gaskets
eldelbrock intake and elbow
th400 with griner brake
Holley HP ecu
Gt4788 .96 t6
Pte 66mm wastegate (not installed yet)
Will run on e85
The car has a decent fuel system already and goes mid 1.3 60's. Only problem is it is a little heavy. I estimate it will be about 3600 with me in it.
Here are some pics of the build so far:

Thanks everyone. I will get some better pics tomorrow.
The headers fit fine. Only issue is the #7 primary hits the steering shaft. I heated it up and banged it in. Also had to enlarge the header bolt holes a little. The primary seem to be of good quality metal. The collectors are a little less of a grade but still are useable. I guess time will tell when I get some heat cycles through them.
This engine is a 2001 with 150k mikes. Plan is to get my feet wet with this then build a stout short block.

Hey Kevin have you wired yours yet? I'm about at the same point as you are with mine (black power, lol). Mine needs wiring, fuel lines run, throttle cable, tv, catch can, turbo oil feed, etc.

My wiring was very easy. I bought the Holley HP system and it came with a wiring harness. Took about 5 minutes to install the harness.
I'm currently putting the engine back together for my boat, so the car is on the back burner for a couple weeks. But I still have to do the throttle cable and fuel connections also. Car already has a -10 feed, I am going to y it off and go into both rails then come out if the rails and into the regulator.

Keeping the 5.3 build going, I changed my mind but willing to part with headers and crossover. It's all 3" ss except for the mild steel t6 flange. No wastegate or plumbing for it. $1k
