Default Another tuning question... VE Tables

Ok, so I went from 30# SVO's and smaller heads/cam/displacement to 42# Injectors and a bigger setup. I switched the car into Speed Density mode via TunerCats and I was trying to use VEMaster for my VE Tables but it didnt change ANYTHING...My SD tune is WAAAYYYY off. The second I started the car my O2's went into the 1000 ranges and my BLM's sunk to 108 and sat there. I looked at the percentages and it was pulling 15.6% from both Left and right LTerms and 20% from both STerms at idle.

I Went into my Main VE Table and I changed the ranges from 50-70 kPa and 400-1200 rpms. I lowered them by 30% and the trims moved up to 117/130. I reverted back to the original VE Numbers, then took out 40% and the trims went to 132/145. I just reverted back and dropped the VE Numbers 38% and have not ran it yet.

My question is, do I need to lower the ENTIRE VE table by 35-40% or what?? I noticed when I was out road testing it that it was at 108 constantly on the BLM's...So I know they are rich as well.

Although I have no experience with TunerCat.....if I'm understanding you correctly.....then yeah, your entire VE file needs to be tuned again. "Bigger setup", I'm assuming, means that you swapped heads/cam as well??

Yes, I went from a 357 with LE2 Heads (2.00/1.56, 205cc) and a 220/226, .570/.565, 110 LSA on a 106 ICL and 30# SVO Injectors with a port matched intake.

I now have a 383 Stroker with TEA TrickFlow Heads (2.08/1.60, 220cc) and a 238/244, .592/.592, 111 LSA on a 107 ICL and 42# Injectors with a fully ported LE Intake Manifold. Those are the biggest changes not counting a few bolt-ons.

Mainly what I am asking though is, should I change the rest of my VE Tables by the same percentage as my Idle numbers and then fine tune from there?

What did you use to change the injector data? Offset voltage, Min Pulse width, Injector Flow Rate, SHort Pulse adder?

usually the bigger you go you take away from lower rpm and add to upper with having a column in the middle that will stay close to the same

For Injector Flow Rate, I set it to the lb/hr rating of my injectors...42.00

I have not changed the offset voltage yet, or the short pulse adder. I lowered the Min. Pulse Width from 1.404 msec to 1.099 msec

If the car is running, I see no need to tune it that way. Just work all the tables/cells as you would any other fresh tune.

As Sarge is eluding to; accurate injector data is mega-important.

Ok, so lower RPM's go down, upper RPM's go up...I will look into that.

I agree that injector info is key, I am still working on it but I am having trouble finding info on the offset voltage and on the short pulse adder that gives me enough to actually make changes I am comfortable with, therefore I have not changed anything.

The car is running but I always tune in Speed Density first, then move into CL with the MAF on. I need to get the Open Loop AFR Tables right, but first I need to get the VE tables dialed in. They needed a 38% decrease to get my fuel trims REMOTELY close at idle in SD mode...I am going to start driving her and see if I can get the other RPM's dialed in a little closer.

AIf anyone has any good information regarding Offset Voltage please let me know!
