They don't stack up. At all.

You talking stock v stock? The 2009+ Vs are low 12 second cars stock, with minor bolt ons putting them in the 500+rwhp range easy. They roll hard too.

What do you have done to yours?
I would say you might be close around ~420+rwhp vs an automatic V stock, but I'm not too familiar with what the weight of a GTO is. I know there was an LS2 on here with something like 450rwhp that held right up with an automatic V with an intake or something like that. The autos put down less power (obv), but they are still hefty cars.

I agree that the CTS-v is a little out of the league. However, even for the weight they don't seem to do what they should. I also don't think an even 400rwhp ls1 fbody should have any problem pulling one if setup right. It would depend on setup and race type imo. Roll race, yeah you'll need more than 400rwhp, but from a dig with drs/stall on the ls1 and not on the CTs-v, I'll vote ls1. Not enough info here to go off of...but an lsa engine'd fat caddy with no traction on streets equals fail in my books. They just don't do what they should imo....on the street or at the track.

Yeaa......

CTS-V = 4200

A bolt on LS2 GTO with a ~3550 race weight could put up a fight.

Don't know about that, I raced a random one from 70-140mph early one morning on the way to work and barely pulled on him after he took the hit - maybe 1 car pull which was me pulling back even with him from his jump.

For the record, my car from a roll is about even with C6 Z06's (beat 2, lost to 1)
