I've been a member for quite a while. And I love the knowledge here on ls1 tech. I think I joined when I bought my 97 Formula. I know I was here all the time with my 99 T/A. But sadly (for my T/A) I ended up becoming a dad during that car's life. And I told my wife we will be needing a 4 door now. So we took the bird to carmax, and she noticed a 06 GXP on the lot with low miles, and said; "I like that car" So all you married men here know what happened next....

I did feel good about buying her that car. As it's been a really good car. But, fast fwd a few years. And now days, I'm a field service engineer, and travel thousands of miles a month. She got herself a truck (Expedition) and said "use the pontiac for work" So I hop in, and fire the GXP up to head to work, and the low oil pressure, service stability system, and check tire pressure alarms are going off. She says it's lies as it's been doing it for months, and the car is fine.

I hate not knowing problems within my cars. grrrr....

Any advice on the ride folks? it's only got 50k miles on it. And she doesn't know how to drive a car hard.

Those all sound like sensor issues to me, but I could not tell you the exact problem without looking at it myself.

Nothing to say until you get a scanner on it and shoot us some codes.

More than likely one or two codes related to a bad sensor.

Ok, scanned it. And it looks to be the oil pressure sensor. Any idea where that gremlin lives on our cars? (I miss my F-body)

Yes look for the great big engineering defect in the intake after the throttle body.

Be sure to pick up the acdelco replacement as I bought the cheap one at my local auto parts store only to have it fail 3 months later and also a pressure sensor socket will make your job 10x easier.
