98 z28 vs 02 z28 in one week. i have a 2002 z28, auto stock stall with shift kit, pacesetter LT's, ory, open 3"cutout and magna flow cat back, 4.11 gears with 295/45/18 nt05's.
My buddy will be getting a 98 z28, that has a rebuilt 2000 ls1 with patriot 2.5 heads, ms3 cam, and LT's with dumped mufflers, th350 trans, 3600 tc, with stock rearend, and stock ss 10 spokes not sure on tire size.
How bad am I gunna be beat? He probably has 100 horses on me from the cam and heads. I'm not sure on if he has a ls1 intake mani and if it still has egr and all that. So is thus gunna be a murder or will my gears and tire help keep me in this? I am getting a tc and cam around Christmas when i have time off from work.

yea its not bad now that I have taller tires. But my mpg and rpm are the opposite haha. I get about 20 mpg... But that's 90% highway 
and I have a open cutout with no block off plate so when im doing like 80 and my rpm's are like 2700 its rather loud but better then 3200 like it use to be.
But idk im hoping I can get a big enough jump off the line to hold it to a slim race. But both being auto's I can't hope for driver error on his part lol. I'll be sure to put up results as soon as it happens he gets the car fri so stay tuned.

Well the race was a no go... Guy started jerking him around all weekend then he was suppose to go get it today and ol' boy couldn't find the title. So o well sorry for the let down.
