'90 240sx LS1 t56 transmission Question
Hi Everyone!
new to the site and new to lsx series, I just bought a 240sx with a 2002 vette LS1 and a t56 swapped into it. I love it but I have one question. ya know the reverse lockout?, the guy that i got the car from said that it was on the side of the trans but it had to taken off for it to fit in the 240. my question is does it really need to be taken off for the 240 fitment? has anyone dealt with this issue? any input will kick butt. Im not grinding the reverse but I did on the first ride and its a little weird when hammering fast through the gears. Im kinda worried that ill grind so I hold back a bit shifting from 4th to 5th. I wanna lockout fit back on the trans if possible. He stated that the lockout will be "in the drivers seat if it was left on the trans" I dont know if Im making sense I hope I am. Thanks so much everyone.

you jsut need to make a little clearance with a hammer.
check out silviav8forums.com
you shouldnt have a problem, I see a lot of people not only hammering the tunnel for clearance, but also cutting the ears off the tranny for added clearance as well. You shouldnt have to remove anything from the transmission.

I thought that ya had to just hammer it too, I talked to the previous owner a bit more he did the swap almost 8 years ago, so the car needs to be updated in some spots. i got on v8silvia also very helpful, thanks alot guys

ok now where does the pink and light green wire on the lockout solenoid go? can i wire directly to the ecu if my clips are cut, like match the pink and green wires to the ones on the ecu. #19 pin and #44 pin on the ecu, splice em right at the ecu's big clips
