Default Want to buy forgestar f14! Fitment/tire questions..

Whats up guys. I'm looking to put some forgestar f14's on my trans am. Car is lowered on koni's/strano with misc suspension pieces. I am setting it up to be a sporty daily driver as well as a fun autocross toy on the weekend.

For sizes I dont know exactly what to go for. I would like 18x9.5 by 18x10.5 or 11". If I can fit the 11" wheel without rolling my fender that would be awesome. I'd like a 315 in the rear. Maybe a 295/35/18? What offset??

As far as tires, like I said sporty daily driver and autocross toy. I don't drive the car easy, and the rain here in Seattle area is a big factor.

I appreciate any opinions/comments. Thanks in advance guys.

I placed an order on a set of f14's for my SS, 18x9.5 front 18x10 rears with a +40mm offset all around. I'm planning on a bbk later so the offset will help.

I have 18x9 and 18x10 with a 40mm offset all the way around. I am running a 275/35/18 and a 295/35/18. I had to roll fenders, its well worth it though.

Yeah Dr Tran your car is part of my inspiration for the build. Can't wait to see the wheels on the car.

Contact Nineball, he will get you squared away. If it was me, Id run 18x10 (F) and 18x11 (R) to get deep concaves on all 4. What color is your car and what finish did you have in mind?

I would like a wider tire all around so I can have the concave on all 4. The car is pewter. Lowered on konis and stranos. Heres a pic.

Agreed. Nine Ball is a class act and helped me quite a bit in ordering mine. You will need to roll the rear fenders in order to get the wheels to be flush with the fenders. As Dr Tran said, it's well worth it.

If you're going with 10's and 11's, your fronts should be 275 or 285 and your rears should be 295, 305, or 315 wide. Go to various tire websites to look at specs and reviews to choose the ones right for you and that fit your budget.

Love the stance. I guess you could go by what Tran's car looks like. Hopefully your car runs better than his though.. Forgestar has some amazing new finishes available and you have a few different routes that would look good against LPM.

Good advice here. Your car looks great with deep concaves on all 4.

Ouch! I hope his does too. And if I was in the market for a new set of wheels, I would opt for the premium option Forgestar now has... Hand brushed

Regular Brushed Titanium finish (Mine) :

The new premium Hand Brushed:

And a Quote from Nineball:

$500 upgrade finish, they are fully polished and then hand-brushed. They look like HRE wheels in person.
Bonus shot of the new finish on a GTR*

I'm running the F14s on my 2000 Z28. I love them.

Specs:
Textured Gunmetal 18x9.5 frnt +37 offset with normal concave clearing BBK (I wish I had gone with 18x10 in a deep concave up front) Kumho Ecsta XS 275/35.
18x11 rear +43 offset, deep concave, Hankook Ventus RS2 315/30 (315 Kumhos still on BO). I rolled my fenders and did the BFH mod with previous wheel/tire set-up so I have no clearance issues.

I just saw what you sent me on FB Mike. That does look outstanding. I wish it was around when I was in the market for some wheels, thats exactly what I wanted. $500 is still cheaper than what it would of costed to get them chromed. I guess I know what I will be getting when I switch things up.

I'm debating on seeing what it would cost to send mine back and have that done...

If I had to guess Id say more than $500. Figure with shipping both ways and they would have to strip your powdercoat then polish.. I dont know if you saw the two guys with camaros who put the CF5s on their car but Im really digging those too.

Yeah, I figured over $500. And yes I saw those two cars, they look really good, not sure how good they would look on a T/A though?

Well the five spokes are usually reserved for Camaro's but Im a sucker for a BBK and five spokes. I wanna see some super duper deep concaves though. I wish they would work on 4th Gens because my Fikse would be for sale today if that was the case..

I wonder if they would work on a narrowed rear end? I want to do bbk on my car at somepoint.

They are nice, make sure you check and double check.
My buddy ordered a set of 20" for his procharged new gt, got in 2 piano black fronts, and 2 flat black rears.. already mounted and balanced.. it surprises me how no one caught it beforehand

So do we know if the CTS-V BBK will work with these wheels for sure without spacers?

I dont believe its been done on a 4th Gen yet but im 98% sure it will clear no problem on normal concaves. Contacting Nineball will answer your question for sure but I know most of the guys running these wheels all commented on all the room they had.

LS1HighLife & DRTran - Can we get some shots from the front and back showing how your offset/widths fit with the fenders?

I'm thinking 18x10 F & R to get the deep concaves but I need to make sure the fronts can clear the CTS-V Brembos.
