Default Converted the SS to a 2-seater-Pics are back!

Since the rear seats are worthless, I decided to install a package shelf to replace the seats. I bought some Stinger OEM material, prototyped the parts with cardboard, then traced them onto 1/2" plywood, cut out the 2 panels, then glued & screwed them together. Notice that I removed the rear seat belts.

Then I glued & stapled the carpet to the frames. I cut out speaker holes for future subwoofers.

One to go.

Bottom panels are done, now I need to fill in that gap by the convertible top boot.

I used the existing seat belt mount and built a set brackets from a pair of curtain rod brackets I had laying around.

Next I made an upper fill panel from 1/8" hardboard and covered it with the carpet. I added a brace to keep it straight.

Job completed. It looks great. The carpet is a perfect match.

More views, now it is the perfect grocery getter. This car hauls in more ways than one.

I have since added a coupe deck mat to give it a finished look.

That looks great. I was just looking at mine today thinking I needed something to fill the void. May I ask what the holes are for?

Thanks for all the nice comments. I got the carpet at Sound Domain, Stinger carpet in Cinder color to match ebony interior. The entire job took about 8 hours, but I was taking my time, trying to get it perfect.
Hey BluBeast, long time , no hear, hope all is well with you.
I may add 2 subwoofers, but my cars exhaust sounds so good now, I never turn on the stereo.
