Do you want a 10 or 15?
For a Ar10, I'd get one that accepts cheap, readily available magazines.
Inexpensive ar15's go bang as well as the more expensive ones. The main differences for the recreational shooter are in the options.
Brands not listed: Spikes, Ranier, Noveske, YHM, Rock River, Ruger, S&W, and Sig to name a few.
Have you thought about building your own or at least buying a lower and a seperate upper? Have you considered optional calibers? You could get a ar15 lower, 5.56 upper, and another in .300, 6.5, or 6.8 for the price of a AR10. I'd advise researching for a while to answer some of the following questions. Do you want carbine, midlength, or full length gas system? How about a piston set up? What barrel length? What twist rate? What ammo will you be shooting? Is this a plinker to tinker with, for 3 gun, or longe range rifle? Have you considered non- AR rifles like the FN SCAR, HK416, or Robinson Arms XCR?

LaRue makes a nice one. My coworker has a red jacket that is really smooth but I've only shot it once when he first got it so I'm not sure how it holds up. I also have a DPMS that has been good to me.

Build your own AR-15 in 6.5 Grendel if you want the weight of a AR-15 and the knock down and long range accuracy of a AR-10.
This is my current build and it is always better to build your own because then it is customized the way you want it.

A ton of guys say build your own including my of my buddies adn brothers. I didn't have the time or energy so I bought an S&W M&P then added the accessories I wanted including rails, optics, iron sights, grips, tactical junk, sling, etc... it's been a fantastic ar and holds its own against those custom builds all day long for a lot less money and no issues.

I bought an AR for me and an AR for my fiance, just recently. Put some optics, mods, and hundreds of rounds thru both. Ive concluded that in a SHTF scenario, Im STILL grabbing my AK47. Just something to think about.
High end: BCM(good luck. Backorder from hell) Daniel Defence(backorder) Larue(ditto). That being said, I had ORIGINALLY ordered a RRA. Waited 4 freakin months on it and HATED IT! Took a loss on it the very next day and traded for a Stag Model 3. Stag is a much better rifle, imo. Bought the wife a Windham Weaponry SRC feom Academy for $800 and honestly like it better than any of them.

I guess I could have been a little more clear.
I just sold my two rifles that I had so I can purchase a higher end.
#1
DPMS Oracle with scope, quad rail, grip, foregrip and other stuff
#2
Bushmaster flat top with scope
I got $2,000 for both so that is my price range. I don't really want to go over that as I just also picked up a new deer rifle that kindof blew the budget.
Remington 700 5R .300 Win Mag 26" barrel with Meopta scope. Super nice and milspec
