Debate on fb: chevy vs ford; step in anyone...
So i said that pretty much since ls motors came around in 98, they have owned ford. Basically heres my pov:
Ls1>2v(stock for stock)
Ls1>2v(modded vs modded)
Same thing with 4v as stated above.
Cobra>ls1(stock and modded)
Ls2>cobra(stock and modded)
Ls2>3V(stock and modded)
Ls3>cobra and 3v(stock and modded)
Gt500> ls3(stock and modded) because of blower.
Coyote> ls2(stock and modded)
Ls3> coyote(stock and modded)???
New gt500> all ls motors EXCEPT or ZR1(stock and modded).
Am I right or wrong? Correct me please.

For stock motors, pretty good. Modded, not so much only because there are so many variables. Not sure about the LS3 being better than the Coyote, stock or modded, but you do have ??? so maybe someone can chime in to fill in the blanks.

Not only is the coyote a great engine, but you can drive out a new Mustang GT for <$28,300. It's the best bang for the buck anywhere.
I know...............because I drove a brand new Mustang GT home 2 days ago.

Are you comparing engines? Or cars with engines? Because it's pretty clear to me that the LS3 is only slower than a coyote when its in a car with 350 more lbs and less gearing.
The way I see it:
LS1>2V
LS1>/=4v
LS2/6>4v
LS2/6<Cobra
LS2/6<Coyote
LS3=Coyote
LS3=Cobra
LS7>Coyote
LS7>/=GT500
LS7<New GT500
LSA<New GT500
LS9=New GT500
Na Fords<Na Chevy's</=Boosted versions of either.

Ford Mustang GT with 5.0 Coyote...........drive out basic car $30,000
Chevrolet Camaro with LS3....................drive out basic car $34,000
Say both run 12.8 bone stock.
In this context Coyote > LS3.

For the Jr. high kids in our current audience the chevy better than ford argument is done. They both build very good vehicles that are very high quality damm fast and reliable in the categories they were made to compete in.
Stock for stock it's a matter of which vehicle has the options styling and power that suits your needs best. It's a matter of personal preference as to which one you would put in the driveway. You can't argue quality or power, they are making power levels stock that were unheard of 10-12 years ago without forced induction and some serious change in mods.
Once you start modding them the argument is invalid anyhow because there are a myriad of way's to hop of late model performance that land you at different power levels anyhow. If you are comparing who's better at that point then you are an idiot because whoever has the deepest wallet will win the race or bench racing match everytime.
You forgot to put the ZL1, and CTS-V caddy in your list with the ZR1 vette they use the same LSA 6.2 wrapped in different packages
Take it as you will just saying.

i still say that today, as in years past, it seems to be less expensive to mod a chevy vs a ford. while the mustang may be winning the hp wars at the moment, you can still make more power, atermarket, with a chevy than with a ford. $/hp it still seems chevy wins once you start modding JMO Toughts?
