Default Cam help!

I am about to begin to build up a 1999 z28. I have everything else already selected im just not sure which cam to get. This car is going to be a DD, and im trying to get 450rwhp (or higher)

these are the mods that im going to get: PRC 225cc heads, TSP 1 7/8" headers, TSP Rumbler X true duals (with dynomax bullets)(i may have to weld some cats in there too), SLP air lid, stock TB, FAST 78mm intake.

Now i cant decide which cam to go with. The MS3 .603"/.609" or the Tsunami .647"/.608"

I am planning on upgrading the internals no matter which cam i go with. (pushrods, springs, lifters, timing chain, ect.) I was originally gonna go with the tsunami, but what i really want is a cam with a good power curve and the rpm range to be lower since it is a street car.

What are your thoughts? Also feel free to comment on any of the other mods.

Also, if its an automatic, have you considered what size converter you would like to use?

The car is a manual so the converter is not an issue. Ive done some more research and i think im gonna go with the Tsunami since im trying to get 450rwhp and i saw a couple people say it had a great power curve. if anything that cam will put me above my goal. Which i have no problem with.

You should be pretty close to that number with the setup you mentioned. Feel free to give us a call if you have any other questions.

i looked into the EPS cams and they seem really good for my application. I think im gonna buy the LS 236/248. Has bigger duration than the Tsunami and the intake lift is lower, so itll be less strain on the valvetrain, and should still deliever the same power. also the power band is from 1800-7200. thoughts?

to garygnu: how do you like the FAST 92/92 setup? was it worth the price?
