383 LS1 REAR Turbo Build Advice
My bird has most of the good stuff from front to back
Like forged internals 10:1 comp NOS cam with 114 and 255 Wallpro Fuel pump beefed up 4L60E survived all the NOS
Im going this route for many reasons like it will not pass inspection; can be on and off the car fast,
Will retain the AC and batter balance for the track day.
Im looking for a min 650 RWHP I want to use the oil less comp turbo.
My questions are:
1-Do I need to upgrade the fuel system?
2-what size turbo to use and im lost with comp turbo suite and names and options
3-do I have to use an intercooler? As the setup is a rear mount it will not heat up and
The long travel to the front will have some kind of cooling.
thanks

lol well NOS4EVER... if that is your real name...
1 a single 255 might be enought fuel for 650hp but i would think your maxing that pump out at that power level. what size injectors do you plan on running? i would suggest 80 lbs/hr
2 good luck i dont understand comps sizing either but something in the 75-80mm should be a good match for a 383 cu in motor.
3 an intercooler will allow you to run cooler intake temps and make more power, and if you're in Bahrain i would think temps would be a concern. you could also run water/meth but im sure you get tired of having to fill your n2o bottle all the time, it would be the same with water/meth
good luck with the build! im in the same spot you are just collecting knowledge and parts for my rear mount build. im starting with an upgraded sts kit and adding some parts from other sources

do a rear mount Fu*k the front mounts
I dont know why everyone thinks rear mounts are bad or in other works "gay" guess some are more immature than others or just jealous, i have a TA with a rear mount turbo precision 80 mm with big intercooler up front, lq9 block 408 stroker fully forged internals patriot heads, cam and few other goodies, makin 700WHP and 722WTQ on 14 lbs really 13.7 psi but when its a lil cooler out its 14+ o yea and this is a DAILY DRIVER, almost every day it gets 100 miles put on it, still makes 25 to 26 mpg, NORTH DAKOTA CAR!!!!!!!!!, just was out the other day when it was snowing lol, rear mount is the way to go the sound is so much better just straight up sounds BADASS, a front mount you can hardly hear the turbo just a loud v8, and you can go out drive your car for a long time stop on hot traffic ect ect and get out open the hood and its not one bit hot under there, now for all you running a front mount holy sh*t you start your car for 5 mins and before the coolant temp is even warm its 200+ degrees under there, my 80mm hits full boost by 3200 to 3500 rpm, and from 4800 to 6000 is making peak power can rev to 6500, now you tell me why when you build a 700+WHP car you want you spool to be like a supercharger where you have all the power starting at 2k rpm and is absolutely no good for the street, rear mount is way easier to setup, no need for custom exhaust to make the turbo work, its all there for you with a rear mount, just fully wrap your exhaust with header wrap and your good to go!!!!!!!

HAHA!!!!! i love ppl like you that like calling BS on everything you hear lol makes me laugh, the car was built at EXCESSIVE AUTOSPORTS Souix Falls South Dakota if the pic if the dyno isnt enough to suffice you ill take some pic of the car and post them on here,i have nothing to lie about as its my first 700whp f body and am very proud of it this car has been 9.80s in the quarter at Sabin Minnesota full weight car (3600) 6 speed 3.42 gears with MT drag radials, so when ppl like you call bs it just makes me laugh because you must be jealous with only having 450whp with a (excuese me) LAME PROCHARGER!, do you like loosing all your low end power and making no torque, yea i just drew a dyno on spreadsheet and wanted to brag about a car that doesnt exist, get a life man
