iv got a lot of PM,s on the 402. Here is the story..it is an iron block, when i pulled the motor i had a lifter that wouldnt hold a prime and would tick like hell. so i finally got around to throwing the LS1 back into the car and pulled the 402 down, I PULLED THE ROD AND MAIN CAPS TO INSPECT BEARINGS.everything is marked so you dont have to worry about getting them mixed up..everything looked good to me except the #7 rod bearing looked pretty beatup. i dont know if i may have had a detonation issue, but it was the same cylinder that my lifter took a ****. the crank and rod look fine, they didnt get all beat up. you can still see the cross hatch in the cylinders..please call me if you have anymore questions as i dont have a lot of time to answer a crap load of PM,s..lol..I had like 73 this morning..lol..850-377-7653
