74' Laguna S-3, LQ4 6.0L, GT4294 turbo Build
Hey Guys! I'm new to this site and would love to share and learn as I go through my turbo LS turbo swap in my 74' Chevelle Laguna S-3. Originally I built a 454BB pushing 600hp, but now with everything else I own being turbo I want to make this project a sleeper with at least 800hp.
Here is what is in the car currently
Motor is out
More pictures coming in the next two weeks!!!

gt4294 is very small for these motors. if you havent bought yet i urge you to strongly reconsider. at the very least step up to a gt4202 or look at the borg warner turbos.

When I got my first turbo car, '06 Subaru legacy GT, I sold my SBC out of my RX-7 and replaced it w/ a 4 banger turbo (sr20det). I've been sold on the fact there's replacement for displacement... good turbos.
Good luck on your build, can't wait to start my own LS* forced induction build!

HioSSilver, I loved the big block, but she was getting very tired and tended to overheat quite a bit. Even with a great cooling set up, she would run very hot.

LILHEMI, I did a little research and saw people were running 70mm turbos and getting good numbers. Why wouldn't you recommend this one?

LILHEMI: Makes sense, I got a stupid deal on a new gt4292 ( $500.00 ). I have it already, but I will look into selling it and purchasing the gt4202, because I want to hit the 800hp range. Which I don't think my gt4292 would reach that goal....do you think it would??

lot of backpressure when you use that small turbine with a bigger motor. even if you step up to the 4202 (which is the exact same dimensions physically) its worth an extra 150 horse at higher boost with no loss of spool. gt4292 is an EXCELLENT high horse turbo in the import world. it just loses its luster when put on a v8 because of backpressure issues.

Would you have a link to the Borg Warner s475? This is what I have found...but no s475 model.
