306 is a terrible cam for boost - it is lazy with lots of overlap. He is literally shooting boost out the exhaust.

Perhaps he should start over and do it right. **** if the motor was built for N/A you could certainly make MORE power by actually tuning it and putting a decent set of heads/valvetrain on it without all the hassle of a ****-poor turbo install.

More than likely that cam will need to be changed to a much more BOOST friendly cam. I also doubt that motor has Boost friendly compression for a driver that is!
so, short of building a completely different motor for what you are contemplating just use that motor get a better cam profile add some N2O.

36lb injectors are about half what you need..........pull the motor and drop the compression and change the cam.........do it right dont hack done end of story

Tell that to SRZ. He's running a 306, stock ported heads, and an F1 and is making a very easy 720 to the wheels.

Overlap bleeding boost is not as big an issue at high rpm with tons of boost as it is at low rpm with modest boost levels.

Two very different motors.
