Default Spark plug wire length for coil packs

Does anyone know the required length spark plug wires for a LT1 with coil packs using Canton valve covers? I am currently out of town for some time and I cannot take measurements at this time. If someone knows a PN that would be great too, looking for MSD. I noticed the truck ls1 wires are a few inches longer than the ls1 wires, would this work? thanks guys.

Why not get cut to length wires?

I've never done that but it could be an option, I'd just rather buy the correct length.

I know Taylor offers the cut to length wire sets but does MSD?

As this is custom work, nobody knows where your coil packs will end up except the guy fabricating their mounting. Once that's done, you'll need to take a measurement.

As most SBC plug ends are 90 degrees, you'll need to get either custom wires or make them up yourself.

Just say NO to the Taylor wires, many posts about them arcing and/or falling apart.

Agreed. Taylors should not be your first choice. Even when protected from heat they fall apart (at least mine did within a year).

No issues with taylors here, have had the same 2 8mms on my #6 and 8 for 40,000 miles and 6 1/2 years, the other 6 are 3 year old 8.2s. Yes Im lazy. If they are coil packs, why wouldnt LS wires work?

Taylor wires is another product that seems to be hit or miss. Some swear on them, some swear at them.

I got the MSD cut to length wires for a LS1 last night. The kit come with the 90 degree boots installed and you cut the length and add the coil connections so I guess I'll use the 90 degree boots like someone mentioned above.

I've also had problems with the taylor wires, wont do those again...

The ls1 wires wont work because of my tall valve covers and were the spark plugs are located on the head compaired to the ls1. they will need to be a bit longer.
