Lookin to buy hey all
definetly a newby. big time dodge guy gettin a chevy
, this is gonna be hard to live down.
dakota CC rt runs 8.1@84mph with 2.1 60ft is my current ride.
anyways..
lookin at a 01 z28, cd player, 6spd, no t-tops, a/c, cloth interior. gorgeous condition. red.
this is the ad for it.. i drove the car, runs great, definetly needs a good tune. dont run great when cold, warms up a lil and its perfect (tries to stall when cold).
2001 Z28 Red w/ medium gray cloth interior. Stripper Model. Hard Top. 6-speed. Excellent Condition. Non-Smoker/Garaged kept. Made 400 rwhp w/ staock manifolds and cats.
A/C, AM/FM w/ CD. The car has run a best time of 11.68@119 in the 1/4 on drag radials.
Many upgrades and extras are included...
-GTP Stage II Heads
-MTI CAM Shaft
-Jet Hot coated full length headers
-3.73 Gears
-Sub-Frame connectors
-Thunder Racing MAF ends

stock tune did 402 rwhp. ls1 edit (i have no clue how to use it, neither does owner). owner is selling cuz he needs a truck to tow his trailer and cant afford both.
asking price is 18500.

18,500 for that few miles and those mods...sounds like a good deal to me. I'd get it in a heart beat. and you wanna talk about living this **** down...i used to own mustangs...all my life grew up on fords...dad had a 71 mach 1, i had a 95 gt vert with every bolt on known to man for the 5.0 except a power adder, a 89 gt that was my beater, a ford bronco 2, ford this ford taht, and i traded it in for a camaro. none of my mustang buddies knew i was going to do it but i got a smokin deal on a 98 z28 i coudln't pass up. i drove up to the meet that night where we were gonna hang out and race our mustangs and i pulled up in a 98 z28 and smoked every guy all night long lol. youw anna talk about tryign to live something down. go from ford to chevy...my car has been t p ed by my buddies a few times now lol. but its all in good fun and nothing a little window chalk on theirs can't fix lol.

well.. yeah.. that must be hard.
but im the ONLY dodge guy in this neck of the woods really.. so I will be goin to THEIR side. not away from their side.
i been born and bred dodge lol.. my car before the dakota was a 10 second roadrunner, had a 71 challenger, 68 rr, 69 rr, 73 rr, 69 dart, 64 belvedere, 68 belvedere, 69 coronet, list goes on and on. ****.. i even have had 2 neons lol. also still have a 1985 ramcharger.

nope.. just has all the engine mods Id do anyways.
gettin good clutch, new flywheel (has z06 setup), tune, 9" or 12 bolt, rollcage, nitrous and built bottom end and misc. other stuff.

sounds like an alright deal. id say its a win/lose situation. Id look a little more into it than just, "are these mods worth the money?" sure, thats about $800 in software alone. but who built the motor? and how long is it going to last? anyway, if you trust the owner, and are familiar with contract law, then id go for it. its the sellers obligation to disclose all information to you, but its also your job to check it out. id take it to a speed shop somewhere and pay them to check it out...
