Default Broke ringlands on 2 5.3 pistons. Anybody got any spares?

Hey guys. My search for LM7 5.3 pistons is becoming futile. I have looked high and low and have put wanted adds on multiple forums. I am not paying GM $175 each for them, so I am asking the forced induction guys as a last resort.

I need 2 2005+ dished LM7 pistons with the floating wrist pin. I am in desperate need for these, so if anybody happens to have a few spares laying around, please let me know or PM me. Thanks guys.

LOL, that's my problem...I've found a ton of earlier ones, but NOBODY has any of the 05+ style. Am I the only idiot that managed to blow one of these things up???

Was curious which bore numbers failed.

What do you think was the cause?

3 and 5 broke. Way too much timing I'm thinking was the issue.

Still need pistons! It pains me how difficult they are to track down with all these 5.3 builds everywhere!

I have a full set of the 5.3ho(lmg) flat top pistons if those would work for you.

Thanks for the offer, but I have dished pistons in there. Seems like it's so hard to find the factory dished ones. Did I get a reject motor? LOL.

Might be easier to try and buy another 5.3 motor of the same model ? Then you have lots of spares.

I've been searching locally for one as well. Cheapest one I could find was $750 with 150K miles on the clock. Don't remember 5.3's being so expensive! But oh well...something will come up I'm sure.

I've had a wanted add up for a while now. Haven't gotten anything out of it. One or two guys had flat tops but that doesn't help me much.

i have some that are in good shape i believe.. havnt actually pulled them out yet but motor was running good until i over revved it. they took 6k miles of mixed 12psi and mostly 20psi and went 109mph in the 1/8th on my heavy turd! you need to make sure you tune it good next time .. one of the rods is chewing a bearing somewhere but is not spun.

A RAY OF HOPE!! Please let me know if we can work out a deal man. I am very interested! We can go to PM's if you'd like. And yes, the car will be getting tuned a bit safer next time and I am seriously debating putting meth injection on it as a safety margin. Let me know asap and we can work something out.

Man, hope you can find replacements bro! I know how frustrating that crap can be! Crazy to think they're that hard to come by since everyone and their brother is doing a 5.3 these days!

Found a Guy for you in the truck forum. Has rods and pistons with 70k miles on them. Might be worth a shot.

Thanks a lot for the heads up man. I actually just found a 2006 5.3 shortblock locally though for $250! Was an engine fire deal and had real low mileage.

And thanks for all the help everyone else! Honestly got more responses and help here than in the classifieds. Can always rely on the FI guys!
