Very cool concept. How much does the average unit as a whole (not piping and intercooler) weigh?

Wonder what the turbo guys have to say about it. They go on and on about how they can adjust their boost. This video basically s*** on that argument.

The sc is pretty damn cool. Wonder what vehicles they will debut it on and more importantly, how much will it cost?

You could control boost levels with a SC already by installing a waste gate in the charge pipe, While its a cool concept that thing looks pretty large so I think it will limit the vehicles it will just bolt on to.

Using a waste gate worked but was hard on the blower. I spoke with Procharger today about it, and it will be available for the 5th Gen Camaro and Mustangs first then the Vetts.

I applaud Procharger for this very cool and innovative product, but the price is going to be ridiculous and the performance will be negligible. It's a high tech product for the high tech customer, simple as that.

So what will the costs be for this unit though? If you want variable boost control, why not run a turbo setup?

Only reasons I can really think of (only because it was accessed in the video) would be AITs and turbo lag. Not necessarily saying that should be a buying point though. There's fixes for both of those, and although I've never driven a supercharged car I know turbos are quite a bit of fun. Personally I'd still go turbo if it were my car.

True, also do you guys think having this twin headed setup essentially will create a more parasitic loss of power since you're basically running another head unit on the blower?

Cant wait to see one of these strapped to a new 5.0
We have already seen what a F1 Procharged 5.0 can do but it was known to take a bit to get spinning. Can you imagine going from a P1 Procharger to a F1R at the flip of a switich

I'm kind of wondering if it will cause any heat soak issues. Would definitely think it produces more heat and robs more power but I guess we will have to wait to find out for sure.
