Default H/C/I TA vs GT500

Took a loss the other night from my buddy with an 08 gt500

His car:
Intake
Pulley
Cat back
H pipe
Tune

My car:
AI 226cc
226/234 cam
Fast 90
4k stall
3.73's

50-110ish He got about a car on me before I let off, We were going to do a 20 roll after this but there was cops lurking the area so we decided to wait. Plus he wants some new drag radials otherwise he knew he would get pulled from a low roll.

That was a good run. How much power did you car put down with the AI head and cam combo?

Nice run, your car sounds good.

Idea's on the power for each car?

About what I expected for mods. I know with those few he is making a good amount of power over you, enough to overcome the weight difference for sure.

Shoulda got him from a dig. I guarantee it would have been ugly for him.

My car made 424whp last time on the dyno, It had pacesetters and a very bad y pipe. I switched over to some stepped arh headers and their ory so It should be making a bit more now.
Soon I will be switching to e85 and hoping to break 450whp through my a4 and 12 bolt.

He has never had his car on a dyno

Nice. I thought the GT500 would be quite a bit faster than that. I saw a stock 08 run 12.2's@117 consistently at the track.

Gt500 was a bit surprised too, he went 11.9@121 in the middle of summer. I run quite a bit faster than that at the track but roll racing is a lot different.

I'm well aware of my setup. But most guys see me roll up on drag wheels/tires and will not give me a dig run.

Nice death. The GT500 be lucky to make 500whp. Plus they are over 3900lbs. They was only 500hp stock with weak blowers. They really need a blower swap to make power.

Maybe on a mustang dyno, bolt on gt500 like his are easily breaking the 500rwhp mark on dynojet. But yes his is 4100 with him in it lol
