Default Which cars (and what years) come with ls1/t56 from factory

I've tried googling and searching all over even searched the sight.

From what I've found (although I found no evidence or reliable source to back it up) it's as follows:

98-02 trans am
98-02 z28/SS
97-04 corvette (supposedly excluding z06)

Thanks in advance for the info. I'm looking to put this combo in my Datsun 240z

One more question, assuming I get an LS1, harness, and ECU that was mated to an automatic trans will there be any problems?

Do I need a harness and ECU from a vehicle that came with an manual trans? If I can work around it what would it require?

Also I've found a t56 for sale but it says 'for viper'

Would there be any problems mating that to an ls1? Bell housing, shaft?

that wont work and the harnesses are slightly different.. best bet is to find a setup out of a 98-02 F-body... vettes wont work (transmission is in the back of the car), and the GTO's and CTS-v are more expensive T-56 to work on... some of the viper parts can be used in our t56 with modification but the viper one wont bolt up

Thanks exactly what I needed to know.

I found an ls1 and t56 on craigslist but they're not from the same car. What issues might I have putting them together? (lets say z28 ls1 and trans am t56)

Am I just going to have to find a mated pair?

Within reason, all 98-02 fbody Ls1s T56s and 4l60es are the same.

Additional question: will a T56 from an LT1 bolt up to an LS1? If not what would have to be done to bolt it up (if anything can be done)?

I believe the input shafts are shorter on the LT1 t56's than the LS1's.

Assuming I'm running lines custom for this swap and get a new bellhousing and swap out the input shaft and fork, would it then work?

Yes, if you get a T56 out of a LT1 car, you would need an LS1 bellhousing, input shaft, slave cylinder and throwout bearing. LT1 and LS1 T56 hydraulics are completely different.
