Im around 3,400.

Here comes the excuses...

Bottle was very close to empty and I wasnt getting the hit the entire time.

Car doesnt make a ton of power with its fairly low compression.

And the rx7 weighs what? sub 3000lbs? lol

I wouldn't wanna run any small car like that with a v8 and rwd in it, very good recipe to haul some serious ***.

Im telling ya man, light weight cars are where its at. Wish I could be sub 3,000 but I dont think thats possible for me. I already ditched the irs for a sra and lost some weight there.

Not too sure about the lexus. He was at a car event that day and tagged along. Only thing I heard was it made 750 pump gas and over 1000 on race gas.

Speedshifter what part of NC are you from?

Cwarta I dropped about 100lbs I would say. I lost my 13 cobra brakes and have some small GT brakes but added UCA's/LCA's and diff brace which add weight. But in general you can expect to lose around 100lbs.

Speedshifter that is very impressive for 3300 pounds. You must be on slicks pulling a crazy 60ft.

Did you do a kit or custom fab yours? My rear is all fabbed by me, and the housing alone was 30# lighter than a prefabbed moser. With the aluminun centwr and such im hoping for around 200# off of her. Get my gto down around 3,300 and ill be happy! I have a 2,900lb third gen for the rest

It wasnt a custom kit. It was a rear end out of an 03 gt which already had control arms/31 spline axles and diff/diff brace/extended studs.

I have a buddy with a ls2 gto with airbags in the rear. He wheels hops really bad when he gets on it from low speeds but I dont think he would go sra. Maybe telling him he can drop that much weight will change his mind.

Wheel hop is nasty in these cars. It was one of the contributing factors to my swap. That and weight/traction

I thought the air bags in the rear helped alot with the wheel hop? Or am I thinking of a different mod? I have no exp with irs.
