Just bought a set of OEC ZR-1s with 315/35Zr17 555Rs. The passenger side seems like it'll fit with my 1/4" spacers. The driver side on the other hand is hitting something and won't go on enough to put the lug nuts back on, not even with the spacer that I have. I'm not sure what the price is called that is in the way but it appears not to be needed. I'll try to get to a computer and upload some pictures. Has anyone had this Fitment problem? How was it solved? Pictures woul be nice.

Chances are your bump stops are hitting the wheel or the inner fender well is hitting the tires at the top. Use a big ball peen hammer or sledge hammer to massage the fenders. Cut the bump stops off and adjust as necessary. You mihgt want to get an adjustable pan hard bar to center the rear under the car now. I have the same wheels on a 99z and had these problems to deal with.

Do NOT cut the bumpstops off, its unnecessary and they are a functional part of the suspension and stops your axle from hitting anything else (exhaust etc).
Jack the car up by the center pumpkin of the rear axle, your wheels will fit on with no spacers required.

had the same problem with my 95 zr1 rims. JD_AMG is right, put the jack on the pumpkin. i also had to cut the rear fenders for bumb clearance for a 11.5 rim

Ok I've got a hotchkis double adjustable ph bar but I guess it was not centered properly by the previous owner. So no cutty the bump stops. Gotcha. Sledge hammer to the parts that show rubbing?

Ok, so how do you change a flat tire on the side of the road with the crappy jack gm give us? The inside of the wheel will hit the top of the bumpstop if not removed, correct? I have driven my car daily for 50k miles on every kind of road exept gravel or dirt that you can think of without a problem.

I understand, but I had to be able to jack up each side of the car separately in case of a flat and I have had 2 since the wheels have been on. I have been in the car with my 2 boys on several trips where roads are not so good and never a problem bottoming out. Put it this way, I can jack up either side with a jack lifting right in front of where the rear control arm bolts on till the tire is 3 or so inches off the ground and the other side dosent hit anything. In my mind that equals a big bump or pothole. I guess weld in sfc's really helped stiffen up the body alot. I have also noticed the suspension dosent flex as much on dips and such since the bilsteins went on earlier this year. OP, its your car, but I have not regreted doing this mod to mine and I drive 115 miles a day 4 days a week with this car and have had no problems at all with bottoming out since removing the stops.

Ya I don't Cary a spare either. Not really worrie bout flats. Just wanna get my heels in with no problems at all

Anyone by chance know how to center the rear end? I've got a hotchkis double adjustable panhard bar but I personally don't know how to move the rear end from right(passenger side) to left(driver side). Oh ya something I probably forgot to mention.... I'm lowered. Is this a big deal? I'm on some Ebach springs but idk how low they are. Everyone says its really low. Look at my pics and let me know if it's too low or what OTHER mods I might have to do to compensate the lowering kit.

this. mine also hit the bumpstops. some VERY minor trimming was requiring, becasue once i jacked the car past the bump stops, it wouldnt come back down lol.
