Default Vic Jr Power Numbers

As my build nears the point where I'm going to need an intake the Vic Jr Carb'd intake is the route I'm going to go.....Was curious as to what kind of power people have put down with Carb'd Vic Jr's and how mine would act with one specs of the build are

LQ4 Stock bottom end
243's with valve job and milled .040 for ~11.5:1
Custom cam Full specs
283/294@.006
234/242@.050
155/162@.200
110LSA 107ICL 113ECL

234/242 .602"/.615" 110+3
Vic Jr
MSD 6010
Holley 850 DP

Through a TH350 and 8.8 then with a 150 shot just wondering what you guys running the Vic Jr are seeing vs the Fast/LS6 type intakes

I had a vic jr all right. Have supervic and 4150 throttle. Huge difference.

you will still pick up 15-20hp with a super, regardless. my cam is
287/295
238/246
.608
111lsa
108icl
pretty similar, details in sig.
Heres a good link to how you can expect the powerband to shift vs a plastic intake

being carb'd vs all you guys with the 4150TB's I'm sure that has to play some roll in intake choice

I went from a FAST 90 to a super Victor... no dyno #'s... but I went from an 11.33 to a 10.97 in a 3800 lb 2001 camaro on Motor with a on a 248/252 cam(a cam spec'd for the fast 90)..with no other changes other than the intake and TB .... and my tires were questionable on the 10.97 pass... so probably a little lower ET on a good set of tires

I just changed the cam for the new car... still building....LOL
the new cam is
252/274 @.050
303/328 @.006

buy a better converter and it wont flash any higher on the juice than it does on motor
if you get 500-700 rpm difference on a 150 shot... its not a very good converter or its not built for nitrous.

figure you will shift from 6800-7400 on a vic Jr depending on your cam and motor size
and 7000-7800 on a super victor depending on your cam and motor size

you probably wont need to go past 7200 with that smaller cube and cam.
especially if the cam was designed for a stock style Ls intake

nothing wrong with a jr, but on the bullet there is a number of guys with cam only mild setups picking up power and dropping ET going from a Jr to a super, mostly carbed as well
anything with a ported head will make more power over 6k with a super IMHO, and moreso with nitrous. Also if you ever do a bottom end you are going to be crippling it with the jr, so plan ahead

I did that in a 3800lb car
and on a set of Nitto tires (305/40/18 555'r's to be exact - which I have for sale because I cant use them on the mustang I'm building)

The car is going to be a "Cam only" car in all reality lol and if it runs into the 9's on the bottle it will stay like that for quite a while

if you wind up staying with the jr you can pick up around 15hp running a 4-hole tapered 2" spacer on that thing, probably help with the idle as well. the jr is severly lacking in plenum volume

I'm sure I will fiddle with it here and there and try to get everything out of it but I'm trying to get well into the 9's on a Cam only/Nitrous LSX powered Foxbody

understatement of the century....
even the Super Victor is lacking in plenum volume for anything more than a stock cube 346

I'm on a 2" spacer with the super victor (1" spacer and a 1" methanol plate)

Well I like using MPH at the track vs Dyno numbers but thats the thing I love about carb motor I can put the spacer on it right after I run with out it and see what kind of gains I get I got a few tricks up my sleeve to have that "Attention to detail" come into play
