Wtb long tubes and hotcam need recommendations & some prices Venders feel free to pm
99 SS M6...
Completely stock
Want to do cam long tubes and a tune....
Open to any and all suggestions....
This is a daily driver...
I'm just getting bored with it and want to spice it up a little...
I have done about 3 months of research and have gather a ton of info but still a little confused on what to buy....
Venders fell free to send me a pm $$$$$$
I would love to be into headers cam mail order tune for around $1000
I work at a gm dealer and a ls1 hot cam is fairly reasonable if that is even a option....
If any one has used stuff I'm not opposed to that either..
Thanks

Ceramic Pacesetter LT's, catted Y-pipe, Hotcam with LS6 springs will eat up that $1000.00. But since your an M6, you will be able to drive that combo w/o a tune. You will be down a few HP un-tuned, but you won't hurt anything.
Not sure how it will sound thru a stock catback though.
Have you thought about the above named headers, Y-pipe, maybe a Magnaflow catback, a used lid with an LS6 intake?
It would sound cool, plus give you around, [ guessing here ], 40ish rwhp.

the pacesetters and Y pipe are good for the money, but if you want a quality product go with something stainless steel. they wont ever rust, and the thermal properties are better and wont ever need to be recoated

You can get Texas-Speed Performance 1 7/8 Stainless steel Headers and Y-Pipe for roughly $750 shipped. Cam packages I've seen $699-799. ( A little more if you get the Oil pump and new timing chain (i.e. double roller) but 98-00 F-body oil pumps are weak from the get go, from what I've researched at least, can't quote me on that.)Install yourself like you mentioned, it's super easy.
Dyno tunes usually run from $450-550, which is reasonable considering the results from a good tuner.
Are you subject to emisisons? (If so may have to reconsider headers mentioned above)
If not, delete cats (rear O2's), get the TSP Rumblr Cat back (Super cheap). Get an Air Lid, LS6 intake..etc
Just continue to do research...
