Default Holley hi-ram on 2011 camaro

Hi-Ram is in, mocked up today, the ports align almost PERFECTLY around the bottom and sides to my small bore LS7 heads (TSP 265cc ls7x), a little large (1/16") by the injector hole. I was going to port them to match the head, but it's so damn close as cast I'm not going to bother. Kudos on that Holley. Included fuel rails and hardware are all very nice.

Mani sits ~1.5" too high for the hood to close, even with the internal supports cut out. I'll cut a hole in it ricer style until my copo hood gets here next week. This certainly wouldn't fit without a cut cowl.

Just painted the lid black hammertone, making a visit to vatozone to get a fitting for the brake booster vac line, and will throw it all together for good later tonight and get some more pics.

Also, there is zero mismatch on the fuel injector holes on this mani (LS7 mani) like I've seen in some of the earlier ls3 manis. The injector holes are even and nicely chamfered on both sides.

Do they make a dual 4500 for the top of that intake?

Just answered my own question. They make both a 4150 and 4500 top as well as a LS1/6 style port. But they dont sell the 4500 top on a LS1/6 style runner. I wonder if I could get them to do that as I'd love to try it on my 418. Would have to convert to a 2-stage direct port at that point.

You can order any top to put on any base, assuming you can find them in stock.

Got it painted, fuel rails + injectors mounted (Thanks to Jon @ Fuel Injector Connection for hooking me up and swapping my 1000s for 750s... amazing service), and bolted into place. Liking the new look. Will get it running tomorrow and see where I'm at.

Compared to that Beck, does it still need the sheet metal cut out and disconnect the passenger wiper?

Neither would fit with a cowl, period. This one is about 2 inches taller in the runners then the beck, will not fit at all with a stock hood, period.

What kind of gaskets does it use? I am wondering if you have to be carefull with milling the heads and what not since this isn't a plastic manifold any more. Could you also list what fittings and hoses you had to get to finish it up? Thanks.

The lower is O-ringed like any other ls mani, and the upper half is o-ringed to the lower half. TB uses a felpro gasket (included). My heads are milled .030 and it's literally dead nuts perfect. The rails are standard double -8 o-ring rails. I used 3x jegs black -8 ORB to -6an adapters, three jegs 90 degree 6an hose ends, and a jegs -8orb plug, with some standard -6 braided line. For higher HP or forced induction, you'd want at least a -8 feed, and possibly a tee instead of a plug at one end.

An interesting note is the manifold is setup for a LS3 or LS9 map sensor, not an LS7.

It's not designed for a tunnel ram top. If you had a pair of carbs on it, sure, but it's going to be crap with a tunnel top.

Interesting. I'm sure someone is going to pick one up and test it out. I wonder how boost impacts the mini-ram.

Where did u find your copo hood? Have searched all over.. I'm running that intake and have a hole cut in my hood for now. Can't find a good aftermarket hood that will clear, really like the look of the copo.

So did u delete both wipers? I was able to keep the drivers side in the unfortunate event I get caught in the rain.

The copo is made by VFN fiberglass. I don't have the wiper assy mounted, but the bolt holes are still accessible, if I was so inclined. Not sure it would fit with the intake hwoever.

Unless you're ready to cut your cowl to hell....get after it. Otherwise it doesn't fit.

Dietcoke....love the upgrade and wiper sacrifice .....you get this tuned yet?

I actually had to tear the engine down immediately after installation chasing a noise which turned out to be a lifter. It's at the machine shop getting honed/reringed and bearinged. I'm going to be away at school til march 1, so it will be a couple months. **** happens, but it's going to be great once it's finished
