Default Radiator with -16 fittings welded on

I would like to have my radiator built with these vs the standard inlet/outlet barbs like this one. This will give me more freedom to route the hose to the water pump. My question is, how do you connect it at the water pump? Do you have to weld the same fittings on the water pump? Do they make a thermostat cover with that type of fitting or is the -16 the same hose size and you just use regular clamps on the water pump side?

You have to AN fitting the whole thing; if you do it on one end, it has to be at the other as well. Any radiator shop can weld the fittings to the radiator (or should be able to); and any competent welding/fab shop should be able to modify and TIG weld the waterpump.

The upper watep pump is a pressed in fitting correct. Assume remove that and weld the -16 fitting in it's place. What about the thermostat housing?

I bought a press in fitting for the water pump and bought a housing that had the AN fitting on it. No welding for the waterpump

For an AN fitting just divide the number by 16 and that is the fraction in inches.

IE

-6 = 6/16 = 3/8"
-8 = 8/16 = 1/2"
-16 = 16/16 = 1"

I personally used -20. It cools plenty. When I was in southern GA during the summer, temps never went over 200*

-16 is sufficient. You can have bungs welded on your current radiator. I ordered mine with them from CBR.

Custom Built Motors in Rancho Cucamonga CA sells a press-in -16 AN bung for the upper fitting, and a -16 thermostat housing.

Having trouble finding black 90 fittings in -16. Summit and jegs only have stainless. Mocal only have titanium black. Anyone have a lead?

Does anyone know if they make a 90 fitting in size -20? I need my inlet and lout let fittings to come out of the side of my radiator and would make it easier if I could weld a 90 there.

Only see -16 here

http://www.racepartsolutions.com/products.asp?cat=98

Other option could be to use a 180 degree fitting if they make that in -20

Allstar has radiators with screw in adapters for the type of hose you are using. Ebay for the press in fitting on the water pump.

Thanks but what I'm looking for is a weld in bung that's -20 in size and 90 degrees. Or a 180 swivel fitting also in -20.
