Question how much e.t does everyone pick up on a 150+

Trying to see what typical gains are for 150-200 shot

I took off 7 tenths in the 1/8th and that was still pretty fat. I think I cld drop another 1/10 maybe 2.

I pick up 1.35 seconds from motor to a 200 shot in the 1/4. Your set up, converter, etc will be the deciding factor.

Like others have mentioned it's all in the combo but 1 full second is the norm in the 1/4 mile on a 150 rwhp shot.

On the same day back to back with a 150 shot (63n jet) I picked up 2 tenths in the 60', 6 tenths and 9 MPH in the 1/8th, 1.1 seconds and 12 MPH in the quarter.

My bolt on car went from 12.3@108 to 11.2@120 on 150 shot. Then with my last motor i went from 7.2s to 6.7s on a 75 shot. Like already been said it varies on differnet setups.

E.t. is dependent upon too many variables. I would say you should pick up at least 13-16 mph.

I picked up 14 MPH with a 125 shot years ago on a stocker. I think that is optimistic for most highly modified vehicles. Also, in general slower cars will pick up more than faster ones.

If you get traction.... bank on at least a second... but it also depends on how fast your car is currently ..

Exactly. It's way easier to go from a 13.5 to a 11.0 than it is from a 10.5 to a 9.5.

Yes. I would say it doesn't start getting hard until you get into the 10's n/a. That's also another reason why I said trap speed. For instance I pick up 17 mph in the 1/8th on a 200 shot. I had one car years ago that added 21 mph on a 150 shot. The funnest was a little s10 that picked up about 22 mph in the 1/8th on a 175 shot.

Those are huge gains. Am I correct in assuming they were both very light vehicles with near stock engines? Or perhaps cam and converter spec'd for nitrous?

One was a 6 speed F body , h/c , 3550 lbs, s15 was junkyard sbe 5.3 , carb swap, 218/220 cam , shorty headers, th350 , ptc nitrous converter, Wilson Plate, 3100 lbs. Also had a stock bottom end foxbody that had h/c/i , 150 dry kit that picked up 15 mph full weight .

The S-10 really makes sense, but the F-body is quite surprising. How much ET did it pick up?

The F body only had torque arm,lca , relocation brackets and 60 ft were consistent. Best pass was 1.65, 6.86 @104, 10.64@132. Motor passes that day were 12.10 -12.20 on the nitrous tune which had about 4-5 degrees pulled. On motor tune car would trap 90 -91 in the 1/8. The setup was very mild. Cnc 241, comp XE lobe cam in the 226/230 range , 114 lsa, ls6 intake, SLP headers , high flow cats, t56, 9in w/ 3.89 gear, 3550 raceweight.

What kind of fuel did you run? That car was pretty weak on the motor, but she stood up nice on the juice.

93 octane. It really wasn't terrible when you consider the weight and mods. The heads weren't milled other than surface cleaning , the cam medium, catalytic converters, lid only, ls6 intake and 3550 raceweight. It did trap 115-116 on motor in the summer heat one of the few times we ran 1/4 on motor with it. If I remember it trapped about 89- 90 in the 1/8 on that day so picked up about 25+ on the backhalf on motor. The day we ran the 10.64 it was on the nitrous tune and was was trapping 111 shifting at 6400- 6500 . It seemed to like to be shifted about 6900- 7000 for best trap speed on motor. When we dynoed it made 405 rwhp @ 6400 through the 9 in. I feel like with some weight reduction, ram/ cold air, off rd pipe, more gear it would have ran 11.40 ish @ 119 -121 in good air which would not have been too bad for the setup. Those motor times were only launching about 3000- 3500 on Nitto drag radial.

Motor times that day were 12.20@112 on a 26" ET street.
