I did but they are more $ then the others and I would have to send it out first to have it rebuilt.

Just throwing it out there; there's several well known companies on eBay that do this and have a lifetime warranty, several thousand happy customers with 100% feedback.

TurnOne can rebuild your rack - even to custom ratios by request. If you're going factory internals? Go the cheaper route with a remaned rack with a good warranty.

Thanks for the info... I am looking to go manual and a custom ratio for a manual rack might be the way to go as the factory lock to lock may be to difficult to turn at low speeds on street tires. Any input ??? I would be running a 275 tire and it would be a street strip car/ weekend warrior. I wont be exspecting a no effort easy of turn setup like power steering but also dont want something I have to put all my forearm into turn. Thanks for your time

275 + Manual Steering = PITA at low speeds!

Going manual steering isn't all that bad, as long as you're rolling. If you are under 15 mph it can be a bear to drive, especially with the wide diameter tires. You'll have to use a bit of elbow grease from time to time, but you get used to it very quickly. The response and feeling of manual steering is unrivaled.

I didn't know that. Now I'll add an STI Killer inspired TurnOne rack to my ever expanding wishlist.

I wouldn't get a reman rack. We did on my son's car, and it turned out to be a standard V6 rack with a slower ratio that really killed the steering feel. Only one part number was listed for all applications instead of separate V6/V8 racks. So the bottom line is you don't know which you'll be getting.
