Thanks for the info... I am looking to go manual and a custom ratio for a manual rack might be the way to go as the factory lock to lock may be to difficult to turn at low speeds on street tires. Any input ??? I would be running a 275 tire and it would be a street strip car/ weekend warrior. I wont be exspecting a no effort easy of turn setup like power steering but also dont want something I have to put all my forearm into turn. Thanks for your time

Going manual steering isn't all that bad, as long as you're rolling. If you are under 15 mph it can be a bear to drive, especially with the wide diameter tires. You'll have to use a bit of elbow grease from time to time, but you get used to it very quickly. The response and feeling of manual steering is unrivaled.

I wouldn't get a reman rack. We did on my son's car, and it turned out to be a standard V6 rack with a slower ratio that really killed the steering feel. Only one part number was listed for all applications instead of separate V6/V8 racks. So the bottom line is you don't know which you'll be getting.
