Default anyone spray a 5.3??

just wondering if anyone else out there is spraying their 5.3s and how much you're spraying, what combo, ect.. i plan on hitting mine with a 150 shot this spring and bumping it up as the season goes, as long as the rods stay in it.. hope to run some mid 6.50s with a cam, carburetor and the bottle..

just got the nova out of paint:

Had a junkyard '04 5.3 out of a tahoe in an S15. Carb , victor jr, shorty headers, 218/220 .535 112 LSA cam, th350, PTC 10 in 3800 nitrous converter, 3.73, 10 bolt, caltracs, rancho shocks, 275/60/15 MT drag radial, Wilson Plate .073 jet. Leaving on motor and bringing kit on about 20 ft out went 1.67, 6.70 @106, 10.30 @130. BR8EFS plug and out of the box Wilson jetting. it was little rich and we had 9 degrees out of it from 35 total. I'm sure playing with jet spread and putting 1-2 degrees back in it would have went faster. Shifted @6500-6700. Those motors are a lot tougher than you think. Make sure you keep oil topped off. The truck only ran 12.40 on motor

If you don't have them already call Calvert Racing and order their bars, springs, and shocks. You can hook it on the 235.

I've got a ladder bar setup sitting in the shop waiting on my 9 inch to be finished. and I know she'll hook with the 235's, but i'd love to get a bigger tire under it.

in the first video you can hear the tone change completely when the nitrous activates!

Another junkyard 5.3 here, LS6 intake, MS3 cam, TH350, E85, BR7EFs, running 28 degrees of timing with 2 pulled for 100 shot which is triggered 400 RPM over launch RPM(has been since fixed) and went 10.58 @ 126.33 with a 1.52 60 foot. I've hit it with 150 out of the hole twice and got the 60 down to a 1.37 but have had solenoid issues so no new numbers. These engines can handle quite a bit of abuse.

i have something similar to a 228r cam in a 99 5.3 long block in my camaro and i've been spraying the **** out of it (other mods in sig) with a 100 shot. i just picked up hp tuners and right now my timing is around 25 total. i want to up the shot to a 150 but i just picked up a big zex kit so i might go straight to the 200! compared to others i have ran on the street i would guess the car runs mid 11's and around 115-120 in the 1/4. im running br6ef plugs gapped at .035 i know people like to run colder plugs but mine look great. i also just put on some 325 45 17 m&h racemaster drag radials on it so im hoping i have my traction problems solved lol.

as long as you have the fuel for it, the 5.3 will handle 100-150 no sweat.
