Header/log manifold build
Just wanted to share some work i did today. Never built a header /log before so i thought i give it a go . besides no one makes them for a 5.3 s10 swap lol
Started out to make a tubular header but after working , staring and scratching my head . I decided to make a log style . I just didnt like how tight the merge and 3" collector was gonna be on the pas side and a few other things . people are making big HP with log manifolds so it will be more than good for me
Did the drivers side and didnt like how the front cylinder was flowing right into where i wanted the turbo flange. So i reworked it a bit and shortened up the reducers some to make it look better
the pipe sitting on top is where i want the turbo mounted
Didnt like that so

Thanks guys , was pretty proud of it lol . I really wanted the merge collector but its just a huge pain in the rear . I just tacked it with a mig and going to take it to a friends house and tig weld it. Should be ordering the turbo this week so i can get the drivers side finished up .
The pass side i might have to wrap around the steering shaft . some have done it without wrapping it around but it might flow a bit better if i do it that way .

thanks , Im planning on a on3 76mm. Hopefully with ls9 head gaskets and head studs , ill run about 15 -18 lbs and get somewhere around 600 rwhp
I ordered a header kit from summit racing because of trying to make equal length headers first so im into it for more money than i should be .
1 5/8 Header kit 109
flanges 70
misc 26 reducers and 2 1/2 pipe from autozone
comes out to 205 but if i ould have just ordered mandrel bends i could have saved at least 50 buck or more
Because of space i made a simple log for the drivers side today . There is only about 3/16 between the log and the steering shaft . Might have to ding it some once i wrap everything .I was trying to get the primaries angles for flow but they would have been in front of the plugs making it impossible to change them with taking the header off .Not real happy with it but should be functional .
