Default CTSV brake upgrade

Has anyone done a CTSV brake upgrade on the rear for a C5 or a Fbody???

I know plenty of people have done the first gen V brake upgrade on the front of the fbody's and vette's and im trying to figure out if anyone has done it for the rear brakes

Yes it has been done before but you will get brake pad knockback with the 10 bolt.

what do you mean by knockback? and did they bolt right up or did they have to modify a bracket?

It's been discussed many times. GMHTP did an article covering what's required. The gm 10 bolts used in these cars have their axle shafts retained by c-clips. The axles float in and out slightly, the floating calipers are able to cope with the movement. The pads on a fixed caliper, on the other hand, would get "knocked" back from the movement of the axle shafts moving in and out.

alright well i sold my camaro not to long ago and I now own a C5 FRC so I was looking to do the upgrade on it. So everything on the vette should bolt right up and ill be to go pending on clearance from the wheels?

Yes on a car with an independent rear you'll be fine to do that.
