Default 2006 GTO. Need Mod Help

I need help with what mods to go with on my 2006 Goat. I have roughly 15k to spend on it, but I want to know the best route to go as far as getting the most horsepower out of the money I invest and the best performance I can get with the investment, any and all comments will be taken into consideration.

By the way, its completely stock with 34,200 Miles.

Any HP goals?

I would simply do full bolts on Cold air intake, headers, exhaust, cam, maybe better heads, and intake manifold. Also a shot of N2O lol really depends on your HP goals.

With 15K I would focus on:
-Fixing the problem suspension areas such as rear springs/shocks, radius rod bushings, sway bar end links and bushings, and strut top bushings.
-Building the driveline with a new clutch, driveshaft, axles and stubs.
-Wheels and tires for traction.
-A supercharger kit to bring you up to the desired power levels.

If you go spending all your money on power mods you will be sorely disappointed when you break your driveline and it handles like a fishing boat.

Keep in mind your drivetrain, suspension and brakes. All the HP in the world is useless without upgrades here. I can't answer your question beyond that, not enough detail. Is your GTO a daily driver, a weekend warrior, will it see the track, autocross, car show queen, etc? You have not told us what transmission you have, will you do any of the work yourself, prefer forced induction or all engine, etc???? I suggest you drive some modded GTOs and talk to the owners. Find out what they like, don't like, what worked/what failed, etc. FWIW my set up is modded all the way around; suspension, brakes, drivetrain, etc. It is a beast on the street, all its power/torque is right where a street car needs to make it. With the pedders suspension mods and sticky tires it has nearly C6 Vette handling in the twisties. Not saying you should follow my lead, just pointing out one of many ways to end up with a great car. The key is to have a plan, and make sure your mods compliment each other toward your intended goal.

Is the car paid off...lots of money to invest just to catch a stroke of bad luck...Sell your car...buy a z06...if you really want to...bc front coilovers, gforce rear coilovers, poly bushings everywhere, mini tub, upp twin turbo, ccw's if you have money left over, do the work yourself and save on labor, if not drop it off at a performance shop with 15 grand and tell them you want to go fast

A turbo kit.3-8k
Fuel system 2,000
coilovers 900
minitub 150+labor+control arms 900+500
brakes(rotors,pads,lines fluid atleast)1500
diff/axle upgrades. ???
tune 500
wheels???
tures???

Depends on how much you and your buddies can do.

Or, like my cousins car, we have a clutch, a fast 90, twin turbos we designed and had fabbed, injectors, pump, lowering springs and we go 11.50@ 128 on street tires,...as quiet as you could imagine, and as driveable as your car is right now.

Turbo, or turbos is the way to go if your trying to make big power, relatively easily, and retain drive-ability. Lots of options for 15k but, you really need to know what your trying to do with the car,..track, street, drag race, road race...etc. Plan your goal on what YOU want,..and make a decision based of that and whatever else you find out as far as ideas.

Have fun modding.

Stock suspension is not that bad for drag racing. I go 10.2x with all stock parts. A good tire does wonders. I would do a big cube motor. Then spray

Hm if i had that kind of money. I would get an APS twin turbo kit, lol you will love that power. But I am more of an all motor person, so I would go with an awesome set of heads 2500-3000$ with a pretty good sized cam 750$. Lt's 1200$, catless 200$, corsa exhaust 1200$. Then Give it a good shot of nitrous 685-1200$. Also check out upgrading your driveshaft 1500$, and axles 800$. Get a good clutch 800$. And you should still have some change left over. With all of that listed above. You should be at like 11,000 maybe more. So 3k or 4k left for set of tires and what ever else.

I agree. Don't neglect your drivetrain/suspension!

That said, get intake and exhaust, first. You want to be able to draw in air and exhaust it out well, as it will help out with future mods. Next, Id get a great custom cam.

Then, you either go cheap with Nitrous, or go for some sort of FI setup!
