Default 4l80 swap question about torque arm and cross members

Heres what I have going on.

I am getting a 80e from Jakes.

I am going to run the 10 bolt long enough to get my car home, while I save and install a MWC fab 9'' myself.

I ordered my MWC crossmember and K member, however, I just now magically learned that the torque arm needs to be changed to a short torque arm to fit to my 10 bolt. That means if I buy the new TA, later I will have to sell it to swap to another one for the MWC 9. And thats stupid to me.

BMR makes a crossmember that allows you to mount off the crossmember itself.

I want to know if thats a good thing to do, and what the pros and cons are to it.

so it worked well with your stocker and your aftermarket adjustable TA as well? was not sure if this sort of mounting point would add any additional vibrations or noise on the inside. I mean my car is pretty loud and radical anyways so not that it really matters. I just want to be able to use this to be able to use my stock TA for the time being while I save for the suspension that i need.

Works just fine with my stock TA. I do not have an aftermarket TA yet, but I plan on running a short TA when the time comes.

running the stock TA with the BMR mount. Like switching to a poly trans mount, I am sure it will add a slight bit of road noise. IMHO anything that takes the stress off the tailshaft is a good idea.
